Page 3: The whole town was stirring. Today was the big day. This
was the day that Jessica Smith and
her 3rd grade class at
First
Baptist Church would put on the biggest Easter Pageant that
Valparaiso had ever seen.
Page 4: Jessica was a little nervous. She was playing the role
of Peter. She knew the story of Easter very well and had
practiced her lines everyday. Today, all of her work would pay
off. Jessica took a deep breath and walked into the spotlight,
center stage. "Hello, my name is Simon Peter," said
Jessica, "and this is the story of Easter." The
audience cheered and the curtains opened.

Page 7: As the curtains came to a stop, Jessica's friends,
including Teri and
Lynn, were busy playing the roles of Peter's
family who were fishermen working on the Sea of Galilee.
Page 8: Andrew, who was Peter's brother ran on stage and up to
Jessica. "Peter," he said "come quickly! We have
found the Messiah! I have spent all day with a man who John the
Baptist called Jesus 'Lamb of God.' I want very much for you to
meet him.
