This is Jonathon Robert Smith of Valparaiso, Indiana. He is a big boy and wants to learn to use the potty.

This is Jon's diaper box. Every time Jon dirties his diaper, Mommy takes out a clean one.

One day when Jon was playing with Jason, he thought, "I don't want to wear diapers anymore. Jason doesn't wear a diaper, Jason wears underpants. It would be more fun to play without having to stop to get my diaper changed." So Jon asked, "Mommy, can I wear underpants like Jason?"

Mommy said, "If you want to wear underpants, you have to go to the toilet like a big person." "Okay, Mommy, I will. I promise," said Jon. "Can you take my diaper off now?"

"Not yet. First we have to go to the store to buy a potty," Mommy said. "Then we will buy underpants."

"Then I will teach you how to use the potty," Mommy said. Jon was so happy when his mommy brought him the new potty and underpants, he rushed right out to show Jason.

Jason was happy too. Now, Jon wouldn't have to stop playing just to go and get his diaper changed......
